We get to know your dog
We ask about their personality, routine, behaviour, likes, dislikes and individual needs. That helps us give them the right attention and the best chance to settle comfortably.
More than somewhere to stayWe created Daxie Den to offer the kind of care we would want for our own dogs. We get to know each guest, build relationships with their humans and make them feel part of our pack.

Every dog has their own way of feeling at home. We take time to learn what matters to them and keep their owners close to the everyday moments, too.
We ask about their personality, routine, behaviour, likes, dislikes and individual needs. That helps us give them the right attention and the best chance to settle comfortably.
Our relationship does not end at collection. We are happy to help with settling and general dog questions where we can. We have also supported dogs and owners through rehoming and helped them settle into new homes.
Clients can join our private group to chat, ask questions, share recommendations and connect. We post daily updates from the Den, including photos, videos, adventures and little everyday moments, so you can be part of your dog’s day.
We have built relationships with groomers, trainers, vets, behaviour professionals, treat businesses, coat makers and other dog services. If you need help beyond what we offer, we are happy to point you towards someone we know.
We organise private parties and get-togethers where the dogs can socialise and see their Daxie Den friends, while their humans get to meet and connect too.
It is one of our favourite parts of this community.

Above all, we love the dogs. Their safety and wellbeing come first, and we want them to have a wonderful time with us: enrichment, adventures, cuddles and attention that suits them as individuals.
They may occasionally have to put up with our singing, too. We hope they arrive excited and go home happily tired.
What started with a love of dachshunds has grown into a community of dogs and owners we genuinely care about. Advice, support, relationships and a whole lot of sausage dogs.
