At Daxie Den, we take your privacy seriously. This notice is based on the privacy policy published on our original website and explains how we use information supplied through our enquiries and dog-care services.
1. What information we collect
When you enquire about or use our services, we may collect:
- Your name, address and contact details, including email address and telephone number.
- Information about your dog, including name, breed, age, routines, behaviour, medical history, medication and any special requirements.
- Emergency-contact, veterinary, vaccination and insurance details.
- Booking and payment information. We do not ask you to put card details into our general enquiry form.
- Messages, consent forms and other information needed to assess whether our care is suitable and safe.
2. How we use your information
We use it to respond to enquiries, assess suitability, arrange trials, manage bookings and payments, provide safe and tailored care, communicate updates, keep the records required by our licence, and meet legal or regulatory duties. Where you have chosen to receive marketing, we may also tell you about Daxie Den services and updates.
3. Enquiry forms and retention
Our website directs enquiries to a form hosted by Tally. Information entered there is sent to Daxie Den so that we can assess your request. Records that we are required to hold under our home-boarding licence are retained for at least three years. Other information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected.
4. Sharing and protecting information
We do not sell or lease your personal information. We may share only what is necessary with service providers acting for us, such as our enquiry-form or payment provider, and with vets, emergency contacts, local authorities or other parties where care, safety or the law requires it. We use appropriate physical, electronic and organisational measures to protect the information we hold.
5. Your rights
You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, request that inaccurate information is corrected, or ask us to delete information or stop using it for marketing. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal, licensing or contractual obligations.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this notice when our services, suppliers or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows when it was most recently reviewed.
